Natural Remedies for Male Yeast Infection?

My b/f and I have been playing this fun game of "pass the yeast infection" I’ve been doing the over the counter treatment and he’s been doing a similar regiem of putting Monistat (which we lovingly call Manistat) on the head of his penis etc. I recently read about a natural remedy for curing a female yeast infection which was inserting Garlic into the Vagina, worked magically as disgusting as it sounds and is cheaper than spending the 17 bucks on Monistat. He is uncircumsized (love it) and the cleanest man I’ve ever met. Soaking his member in vinigar and putting Monistat on it seems to clear up the infection, but after a month we seem to be back at square one with me running to the pharmacy and both of us sitting with an uncomfortable burn! I’ve heard there is an oral medication to cure this issue, but due to some sort of heart condition B/F can’t take it… any natural remedies I haven’t tried yet?? I mean the Garlic works amazing for me, but I can’t imagine where he’d shove it LoL! We try to be as clean as possible as we have sex on average about 4 times EVERY night so pre-bed showers always come into play. We are oober clean, I don’t douch I only use a mild "lady bits" soap on the outer parts of the vagina. I do use birth control which I’ve heard can cause Yeast issues. Any sugestions are welcome!!

Natural Solutions To Treat Thrush

Thrush can have a lot of causes and is an embarrassing problem to take to your physician. Thrush is an infection cause by the overgrowth of yeast, and must be handled immediately. Nonetheless, you don’t need to run out the the nearest drugstore for a solution. The yeast that leads to thrush thrive in a warm, humid environment. Wearing clothes that are too tight, or are made of synthetic fibers results in the perfect conditions for the yeast to thrive and multiply.

Thrush is typically found where there is persistent itching in the vaginal area of females, which is where it becomes something of an embarrassment as it makes going anywhere appear relatively out of the question. As an example, if you are out to dinner with friends and you are finding it challenging to sit still, and the itching is unbearable.

Don’t panic. A natural remedy is closer than you might think, and it will take no time take back control. Not only are natural cures effective, but they can keep the infection from reoccurring.

You really must see a doctor to initially ensure that you do, indeed have a yeast infection. If you use the completely wrong treatment, you might really make your problem worse. If you do have a yeast infection, it is always best to try to treat it naturally, so put off on the drugs until you have tried at least one natural solution.

A great place to start would be with Calendula. It is an extract produced by a plant, and is known for it’s antibacterial components. You can obtain creams which can be applied outside the body to itchy areas or a peccary for internal application, and with so many people prepared to sing the praises of Calendula it is absolutely proving successful. Mothers have also cottoned on to using Calendula as an alternative to harsh chemical nappy creams for their babies. It is ideal for use on these areas of the body as it is so gentle yet powerfully effective, and contains nothing more than naturally occurring plant extracts.

Garlic is also an excellent alternate thrush treatment, as it contains the same anti fungal and antibacterial properties and operates in much the same way, and yet again there is no nasty man made chemicals to hurt the system. Once more with care this can be used internally, but you must wrap the undamaged, peeled garlic clove in muslin, and secure it so that you can remove it with ease. Leave it in place overnight but be warned that this will result in you smelling of garlic, but is very effective so well worth consideration.

One more reason why you should think about using a natural treatment compared to an over the counter one is because there are no harmful unwanted side effects with natural remedies. These remedies have been used for a much longer period of time to treat thrush, and in reality over the counter medication can lead to repeat infections as soon as you end using them.

Finding Treatments For Thrush That Stop It Coming Back For Good!

Finding treatments for thrush that actually work can be difficult – especially if you suffer from these infections regularly. There are many options available, but they generally treat only the symptoms, forgetting the main cause and allowing it occur over and over.

The fungus Candida albicans is the reason behind thrush. And, althoguh this is naturally found in the body, it can get our of control and cause the itchiness, redness and other unwanted symptoms that many women experience. This is why they search for treatments for thrush that really work, rather than covering the symptoms.

Treatment Using Medication

The first time you experience thrush you should always go to your doctor for an official diagnosis. It’s important to know that it really is thrush you’ve got, rather than a different kind of infection. They may choose to prescribe you antifungal medication to help prevent growth of the fungus, either taken orally or by being put into the vagina.

However, reoccuring yeast infections can happen when only the symptoms are treated, and not the original cause of the fungus getting out of control. This is why natural, holistic treatments are so important as a way of getting to the root cause of thrush.

Natural Thrush Cures

Studies by the University of Western Australia have shown that tea tree oil works as a treatment for thrush, helping to cure the infection. Some women may choose to take a bath with just a few drops of tea tree oil, and others may use it on a tampon.

Other natural methods include wearing loose fitting clothing. Wearing tight clothing, or wearing manmade fibres, can give the bacteria a better breeding ground meaning they will be more likely to grow and make the symptoms worse.

Some fragranced soaps and feminine hygiene products can make things worse, so when you wash only use a mild soap and water.

If you need immediate relief, then try applying yoghurt (make sure it is sugar free and natural) to the area. This can help to get the levels of bacteria under control, by balancing it with certain types of ‘good’ bacteria.

No matter why you try, just remember that treatments for thrush should only be used if you’re certain you have it. Natural treatments could just be the solution that your doctor never told you about. A yeast infection is what happens when your body has an overgrowth of a fungus called Candida albicans. This fungus is normally present in the body, but a yeast infection occurs when it grows too much.

Common symptoms include:

How to Treat a Yeast Infection

* Yoghurt – I agree that this sounds a little strange, but it’s actually really effective, and this is because of the friendly bacteria in it. The friendly bacteria kill off the bad bacteria that is causing the infection. To use, just spread some around your vaginal area and leave for a while. You can also eat it.

* Lactobacillus/acidophilus – Friendly bacteria, just like in the yoghurt, but in capsule form. All you have to do is follow the instructions on the bottle.

* Vinegar Douche – Just put between 1 and 3 tablespoons of vinegar into a quart of water, then use as a douche. Use once a day until the symptoms have disappeared. Use for no more than 1 week.

* Cut Out Sugar – Sugar promotes the growth of yeast, so remove all added sugar from your diet and you should see a big improvement.

* Garlic Suppository – Careful with this one, because we all know what garlic smells like! Simply peel a fresh garlic clove and then wrap it in gauze and insert into the vagina.

* Gentian Violet – This traditional remedy can be found in most pharmacies and combats yeast and other infections. Just swab the area with a thick pad once or twice a day.

* Herbal Douche – Mix sage, raspberry and comfrey with one quart goldenseal. To make an even more powerful mixture, combine with vinegar.
