Ways For Treating Chronic Yeast Infections

by Kerris Samson

There are several kinds of yeast infections which one can get, and all of them can return time and time again, resulting in them becoming chronic yeast infections. Yeast infections not only occur on your skin, but in your mouth and throat, as well as in the groin area, the gastrointestinal tract and around the area where a diaper is worn on young children.

Medical experts agree that around 75% of all women are likely to suffer from one form or another of yeast infection at some point in their lives. Plus this infection is not just limited to women and young children but men can also be affected by it as well. They will mainly suffer around the groin area and is commonly referred to as male yeast infection. It is crucial that one remembers that this kind of infection can easily be transmitted between two people through sexual intercourse. It is therefore important that if you discover that either you or your partner have any kind of chronic yeast infections you seek medical attention immediately. Also whilst you or your partner are undergoing treatment for the infection you should stop all sexual contact until the infection has been successfully treated. By doing this you will prevent yourselves from passing the infection backwards and forwards between each other.

If you find that the thrush (yeast infection) you have in your mouth and throat is reoccurring, then you doctor will prescribe some type of antifungal mouth rinse, lozenges or tablets for treating chronic yeast infections. It is also important that whilst treatment is ongoing that you purchase a new tooth brush, plus once treatment has been successfully completed you then purchase another new toothbrush. By doing this you will actually prevent the yeast infection from being introduced back into your mouth again.

Should you have a child who has developed chronic yeast infections of the mouth or throat they should be prescribed with some type of medication. Plus as mentioned above it is important that you replace their toothbrush both during and after treatment has been carried out. Also you it is crucial that you sterilize, wash with hot soapy water or replace those toys or items which they like to chew on or place in their mouths.

Chronic yeast infections of the skin are very common. Those that occur on the skin are to be found in moist, warm body areas, such as under the arms, on and under the breasts and in folds of the skin. If you do experience chronic yeast infections of the skin, then be sure to keep the affected areas as dry as possible. Also it is best to wear loose-fitting cotton clothing over the area that has become affected.

If you choose to wear tight fitting or materials made from synthetic products it will only cause you to sweat more and this will provide the ideal breeding ground (moist and warm) in which chronic yeast infections thrive. Should you happen to suffer from any chronic yeast infections around the skin folds then it may be worthwhile using a antifungal powder rather than cream. The powder is able to not only treat the condition, but also prevent the buildup of sweat in the area.

Also when it comes to treating chronic yeast infections, there have been numerous studies carried out which clearly show that eating a yogurt containing active cultures is effective at preventing such infections. These should actually be eaten on a daily basis and so if you want to prevent such infections you should be including one of the many active culture yogurts available on a daily basis in your dietary habits.

Another thing which has been proved successfully by medical experts as a way of dealing with chronic yeast infections is through including probiotics in a sufferer’s diet. Probiotics are actually live micro-organisms which are very similar to active cultures that are to be found in natural yogurts and which can help to regulate the level of micro-organisms found in your body. By taking probiotics as part of your diet you will actually be able to keep these organisms under control and so help to bring chronic yeast infections under control as well.

If you do find that you may be suffering from some form of chronic yeast infections then you need to seek medical assistance as soon as you can. By visiting your doctor he will quickly be able to evaluate how severe yours is and then prescribe the right course of treatment for dealing with it and preventing a reoccurrence.

Cure Yeast Infection Permanently

by Alice Beaumont

It is reported that 75% of women will suffer from yeast infections at some point in their lives. Although this is a common infection many women still find it difficult to discuss the problem with their doctors. There ar

Yeast infections when being discussed by the medical profession are also referred to as Candida. All forms of these kinds of infections are caused by various different groups of microscopic fungi or yeast being able to attack the body. With there currently being 20 different kinds of yeast infection that a woman may suffer from, and the most common of these being Candida Albicans. However not only can women suffer from yeast infections so can men as this type of fungi lives on all our bodies.

The main thing to remember about yeast infections is that anyone at any stage of life may become infected with them. But certainly the most common types of infection we are likely to hear about are those with attack the vaginal area, along with ones that cause diaper rash and also affect the nails and skin of people.

The most likely places a person will often find that they suffer from a yeast infection is an area of the body which is damp and warm, say the underarms for example. However in most cases our skin is able to prevent this particular organism from obtaining access to these areas and this will in turn prevent it from growing. If however a person has some damage to the skin then this provides the yeast a chance to penetrate through to the area in question and so allow it to start growing.

Where children are concerned when it comes to yeast infections the most likely places that they are to become infected are around the mouth and in the diaper area. But adults as well are prone to suffering from this infection to the mouth it is more commonly in the elderly or in those people who wear dentures. However most of the infections that are caused by the growth of yeast can often be treated very easily and quickly through the use of topical creams and medications.

It is important to note however that in some cases this particular form of infection can affect the whole body and the success rate for treating such infections is greatly reduced. In fact 3 in 4 people who suffer from this particular form of infection are unlikely to find an suitable treatment and will die. Therefore it is important that if you find yourself suffering from any form of yeast infection you arrange to have it treated before it has chance to multiply and so it will be much more difficult to treat.

Certainly the biggest problem we face today when it comes to yeast infections, even though diagnosing it is easy, is what has actually caused it to occur in the first place. There are many different things which can cause an infection to happen for example a person who has been taking antibiotics for another kind of infection may develop a yeast infection. This is because unfortunately their immune system has become comprised and so they do not have sufficient antibodies in their body to be able to fight of the yeast fungi as it begins to multiply.

The biggest problem we face when it comes to yeast infections is that often there is no apparent reason as to why the infection has occurred in the first place. Sometimes a person may suffer from this particular infection because they are taking some kind of antibiotic and this has lead to their immune system being compromised, which has provided the yeast fungi a chance to multiply.

Over recent years there have been developments in the natural and holistic cures for yest infections and which are now readily available. But the great thing about these types of cures is that they work on treating the root cause of the infection and so help to prevent the yeast infection from occurring initially. One such product “Yeast Infection Away” is claiming that it can cure any kind of yeast infection in just twelve hours. Whilst there is another known as “Yeast Infection No More” that offers an holistic approach to being able to remove the threat of Candida (yeast infections) permanently. If you would like to see just what it is these products have to offer then check out our review section at the links provided below.

Yeast Infections – Remedies To Provide Instant Relief

by Samantha Adams

Yeast infections are very common and do not just effect the genital parts of a person’s body. Some people develop yeast infections in the mouth, others under their nails and others the infection occurs between the skin folds on their body. Such infections can occur at any time during one’s life and aren’t just something that women need to treat. Below we look at some natural ways that can be used as a cure for yeast infections.

1. Plain Yogurt – There is a good bacteria in this food which contains properties that can help fight the yeast infection. One can either eat it to fight the infection from inside and so help to prevent further yeast from growing inside. Plus it can also be applied directly to the area where the infection has occurred.

However, if you intend to use these treatment to cure the yeast infection you have make sure that you use only plain natural yogurt. Any other variety of yogurt contains sugar which will help the infection by increasing the production of the yeast bacteria.

It is crucial that if you apply the yogurt directly to the infected area you never allow it to remain in place for any period of time as this can lead to the infection becoming worse. After the itching has been relieved through applying the yogurt immediately remove any excess. If you do not moisture will gather and the itching will become a problem again.

2. Garlic – This is one of the most effective ways for curing a yeast infection. For a vaginal infection insertion of a clove of garlic into the vagina will help to provide relief. There are now garlic suppositories you can use, and if you use these make sure that the ones you use contain only natural ingredients. The garlic contains anti-fungal properties and it is these which help to kill off the yeast.

However, if you don’t like the thought of inserting garlic then taking it in supplemental form or eating in its raw state is beneficial as well. But most people are worried about the way their breath will smell after eating garlic and this is why using pure natural garlic supplements is preferred.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar – This cure for yeast infections is also effective and like garlic can be used both internally and externally. If you are going to apply it directly to the infected area don’t do it in its pure state, instead it is better to add a cup of the vinegar to a hot bath and then lie in it for a while.

4. Oil of Oregano – This is another very effective cure for yeast infections and should be taken daily according to the directions on the manufacturers packet. The best type of oil of oregano one should be using is that which a high level of carvacrol in it. This is the main ingredient in the oil that actually works of killing of the yeast which has resulted in the infection.

Yeast Infection Symptoms

by Ryan Maine

Many women face the problem of having a yeast infection all around the world. Not many people realise that men can also get one too, although they don’t generally have the same symptoms. The symptoms of a yeast infection can be difficult to diagnose because they can be caused by other problems too, so you should always take a trip to see your doctor if you think you have a problem.

Most women know that the main symptom of a yeast infection is a yellowy discharge from the vaginal area, although you can have a yeast infection without this symptom.

If you do have a discharge though that isn’t a guarantee you have a yeast infection as they can be caused by many other problems. The only way to know for sure is to visit a doctor and get a proper diagnosis, especially if the problem has lasted more than a few days.

There are many other symptoms though you should look out for. For example some common ones are itchiness or pain during urination. Again these are very common symptoms of other kinds of problems, so you shouldn’t immediately assume that you have a yeast infection if you get them.

It is easy to be confused between a yeast infection and a UTI, and many people often are, so is there a way to tell them apart? The best way is that in the majority of cases a UTI will hurt while the urine is inside you while a yeast infection will cause pain during urination itself.

As you can see, while there are some very obvious symptoms of a yeast infection they are also quite general ones. If you have one or more of these symptoms for any period of time then it is probably a good idea to see a doctor as soon as you can. It will put your mind at rest and you are more likely to get the problem sorted.

Candidiasis: Beyond The Advertising

by Vince Gomez

The itching, burning, and odor associated with candida (the fungus responsible for yeast infections) affect millions of people every year and can cause severe discomfort.

I am sure that you have seen the advertisements for anti-candidiasis products. These items are usually sold in different forms and supposedly cure the problem.

What these commercials leave out are the facts that women are not the only people who can get yeast infections. Not only do men get yeast infections on their sexual organs, but studies have shown that almost 90% of the population have the fungus within their bodies. Beside the sexual organs of men and women, many people have yeast in their intestines. Most healthy people will never have an issue with yeast infections, as their immune systems keep it in check.

Another fact is that many people who try these over the counter products will not be cured. While following the directions on the package will provide temporary relief, a cure is far more involved and can include many lifestyle changes.

Candidiasis is usually indicative of a more complex issue, and fixing the issue will usually cure the candidiasis. Completely ridding yourself of yeast can be very difficult, but is possible.

Health problems which can lead to yeast infections can vary from person to person. However, some of the most common problems that lead to yeast infections are:

* Hormonal imbalance

* Weakened Immune Response

* Excessive Glucose

Treating these issues will most certainly help with trying to eliminate excessive yeast in your body.

I would recommend that you see your doctor and ask him or her to work with you in finding the root cause of your yeast infection. Taking care of your health with changes in your diet and exercise is always an excellent idea.

If you eat the right foods and do the right things, you are taking just one holistic step to rid your body from candida, as well as the health problems and discomfort associated with it.
