Yeast infections are caused by Candida, which happens when tiny micro organisms, that naturally lives in our body, growth multiplies too quickly and our body is not able to handle it, and we get a yeast infection. The micro organisms, or yeast, that lives naturally in our body is good for us in the right number that our body naturally produces, as it helps keeps the vagina clean and free from infection. There are also some things to keep in mind even when you are suffering from a yeast infection to help ensure you not getting another one. It is important to wear only cotton underwear and to make sure that you do not wear too tight of jeans, pants or leggings, and to avoid wearing fragranced deodorants or sprays in the vaginal region.

In general, it is always a good idea to eat healthy, avoid too many sugars, sweets or processed foods. Also, when you exercise regularly, and drink plenty of water, it helps build your immune system stronger.
